TerriAnne Gutierrez, director of award-winning troupe Joweh R.A.W and a lifelong student of dance, has specialized in Modern Egyptian and American Cabaret, with stylistic influences from some of the forerunners of Egyptian Dance, including the great classic performers Samia Gamal and Tahia Karioca.
TerriAnne has been the featured performer at many prestigious San Francisco Clubs and restaurants, made several television appearances, spent years performing for the local Middle Eastern community at their weddings, parties, special events and was selected by the San Francisco Egyptian community to perform for the Egyptian Consulate to the United States on a very special visit to San Francisco.
TerriAnne is also a musician and can often be seen performing with the renowned Middle Eastern drummer, Susu Pampanin and the Georges Lammans Ensemble. She plays with local Turkish groups as well.
Her home base is Sebastopol CA where she produces the festival Sirens Fest and runs her own theater, art center and dance studio, called Sirens.
She is the founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Sirens Studio for Youth and the Arts.
